Texas Christmas Spending Habits May Surprise You
As Christmas approaches, many Texans are experiencing expenses that surpass their usual monthly budgets in order to purchase holiday gifts for their families and loved ones.
While essential living expenses such as rent, food, and other necessities remain necessary in December, it is commonly observed that Texans tend to increase their spending during this period.
This financial strain can contribute to heightened holiday stress and fatigue.

Who Spends More at Christmas? Men? Or Women?
According to U.S. holiday spending statistics, men spend about 10% more on Christmas shopping than women.
One analysis found that male shoppers spent roughly $1,046.38 on holiday purchases, compared to $952.03 for female shoppers.
Men were more likely to spend on higher-priced items, especially for colleagues or large-ticket gifts, while women spent more across a broader range of recipients, including food and family gifts.
However, other research shows that the difference isn’t huge and that spending patterns vary by age, relationship status, and gift-giving strategy.
For example, women often buy gifts for more people, extended family, friends, and coworkers.
This can increase total spending even if the average dollar amount per item is lower.
