Queen Latifah has teamed up with Strayer University to provide online courses to help boost students confidence levels.

According to a press release (via Business Wire), the entertainment mogul will be featured in an 11-week online course that focuses on building two crucial qualities for success - confidence and perseverance. Also, she will also host live Q&A sessions with students to provide individualized guidance, feedback, and inspiration.

Latifah knows a lot about confidence and perseverance. In the ‘90s, she exuded confidence as a Grammy Award-winning rapper in a male-dominated rap genre. She then went on to build a successful career in acting and as a producer in Hollywood. With over 30 years of experience in the music and entertainment world, Latifah has persevered without faltering.

"I’m thrilled to partner with Strayer University to help their students succeed," said Latifah. "Strayer has been helping busy working adults go back to school for over 125 years, and I’m honored to add to that legacy and support the students who are working so hard to further their careers."

Brian Jones, President of Strayer University, concurs and is excited for students to meet and learn from Latifah's vast knowledge in multiple business industries.

“Queen Latifah embodies many of the qualities we work to instill in our students to help them be successful in college and their careers including confidence, an entrepreneurial spirit, and persistence," he said. "We’re absolutely thrilled to have her join Strayer on our mission to help adult students succeed."

Next month, Latifah will serve as the keynote speaker at Strayer University's commencement ceremony in Washington, D.C., on June 23.

Latifah is no stranger to commencement ceremonies. The rapper-actress recently received an honorary doctorate from Rutgers University in New Jersey. She also delivered the keynote address.

“It’s lessons here at home (New Jersey) that made me who I am,” Latifah said during her speech. “You may not realize it today, but you will over time that the love you find in family in every size, shape, and makeup is a powerful teacher.”
