Rotary Splash Pad At Spring Lake Park To Open May 24

May 24 is the BIG DAY for the Splash  Pad to open in Spring Lake Park, according to the Texarkana Parks and Recreation Department.

 The Splash Pad will open daily from 9 AM until 7 PM until the end of October. If you thought previous years were cool (no pun intended), this year there are an additional six shade ports and picnic tables, in addition to a brand new non-slip surface.

The Splash Pad is a zero-depth water playground built in collaboration between the Rotary Clubs of Texarkana and the City of Texarkana, Texas Parks, and Recreation Department.

The pelican that dumps water from overhead is an all-time kid favorite! Its pretty cool to see its beak fill up,and once full open and dump water on top of the kids as seen in the photo below.

The splash pad is a MUST this summer! There are plenty of benches for you to sit on and the Splash Pad is a great break from the heat.
