School Closings Due to Hurricane Laura

With Hurricane Laura on the way, Texarkana and surrounding areas are under a Tropical Storm Warning. To be on the safe side these school districts in our area have closed for Thursday, August 27. Please be aware that a few school districts on the list will still have virtual classes.

Texas Schools

TISD - Closed Thursday

Pleasant Grove ISD – Closed Thursday.

LEISD – Closed Thursday

Hooks ISD - Closed Thursday

Redwater ISD - Closed Thursday

Atlanta ISD – Closed Thursday

Queen City ISD – Closed Thursday

Texarkana College – Virtual format for all courses and student services Thursday and Friday.  Classes will meet online.

Texas A&M University Texarkana – All classes & activities canceled Thursday and Friday.

Arkansas Schools

Texarkana, Ark. School District – Thursday No Face to Face Meetings.  Classes will be virtual.

Hope Public Schools – No School on Thursday

Genoa Public Schools – No School on Thursday

Ashdown Schools – Offsite instruction only on Thursday.

University of Arkansas Hope & Texarkana – Both Campuses Closed Thursday.
