Are you looking for a new fur baby or best friend? You can find him or her just like I did at the Texarkana Animal League. They are going to have a big Adoption Event this Saturday, November 7 from 10AM to 3PM.

Adopt dogs, cats, puppies and kittens on Saturday during an adoption event at PetSmart in Texarkana. Several rescues will have many different dog breeds available for adoption with approved application.

Come the adoption event at Petsmart on Saturday and visit with the volunteers from Texarkana Animal League, Muttley Crew Rescue, Passion for Pooches Rescue, Boxer Rescue of Texarkana and Little Paws Rescue. There will be tons of dogs--little and big as well as kittens available for adoption on Saturday.

Saturday will be a beautiful day to adopt your new friend! Come the adoption event at Petsmart and visit with the volunteers from Texarkana Animal League, Arklatex Cocker Rescue, Passion for Pooches Rescue and Little Paws Rescue. they will have a variety of dogs and cats available for adoption.

UPDATE - ADOPTED! This is possibly the cutest puppy EVER! He is adorable and ready for adoption from the animal shelter in Texarkana. He talks to me in the video below. He tries to get a soda from the machine. He checks out the crate in the corner. Waves at the camera. He would make a sweet Valentine for any home!

Diablo is a sweetheart of a dog. He is Less than one year old. Diablo is dire need of some TLC. He seems to be depressed the longer he stays at the shelter. At one point he had a kennel buddy but he was adopted so now Diablo is alone. Diablo will need to be neutered before he can go to a new home. Contact animal shelter at 870-773-6388, ext 3. This young girl donates many, many hours of her time to the dogs at the animal shelter and works hard to help find new homes for loving pets. At just 15 years of age, she understands the meaning of giving back to her community.

As I walked through the animal shelter one day I spotted this employee taking a few minutes out of her busy day to give some attention to the dogs. Can you imagine working at the shelter? So many dogs come and go. Some find new homes while others are euthanized because no one adopts them. How hard it must be to not be able to save them all!

Gina is a very smart dog. She knows how to sit, shake, lay down and walks great on a leash. She is house-trained too! Gina is spayed and I believe she may have a micro-chip as well.
