Another crawfish stand has opened in Texarkana! Hot Tails Crawfish, J3 Crawfish Shack, Twisted Tails Mudbugs and The Crawfish Shack are now open. The price per pound is down a bit this week and should be in the $6.50 range for boiled at most of the huts, give or take a quarter. The price will continue to drop the further into the season we go.

The second annual Mardi Gras Celebration is happening in Texarkana on Sat., March 1, from 2pm to 7pm. Mudbug Madness was a few weeks ago in Shreveport. I love to shop the vendor booths, eat crawfish of course and listen to zydeco music. This year I decided to get into the crawfish eating contest too.
