The Texarkana, Texas City Council met this past Monday and among many items on the agenda was this one: Item # 7 - Electric Scooters in Downtown Texarkana, and on the campuses of Texarkana College and Texas A&M University - Texarkana. It passed.

Leadership Texarkana Class of 2022 took on a great big project that is much-needed in downtown Texarkana. It's the beautification of the Amtrak area located at 100 Front Street.

It is so wonderful and exciting to see all the great renovations going on in downtown Texarkana. There is another grand building that really needs help and all we need to do is vote online to win a facelift for our Amtrak Area in the Union Station building downtown.

Texarkana is working hard to keep up the beautification of our downtown. The Texarkana Arts & Historic District asking for your input in public art proposals.  These will complete a series of outdoor found-object sculptures to be featured in downtown Texarkana called Bending the Rules III: George Tobolowsky & Friends Public Art Exhibit.

Even with Christmas on the way COVID-19 strikes again with another Texarkana tradition cancelled. The Texarkana Board of Directors have made the tough decision to cancel the Annual MainStreet Christmas Parade in downtown Texarkana.

Loosen your belts and get your palates ready for some of the best street food in the ArkLaTex at the Back Alley Food Court this Saturday, 10 AM til food vendors sell out! Shout out to Tameka Grady and Diva Maintenance for always bringing excitement and good eats to the city...

The Guinness Book of World Records is coming to TEXARKANA this Saturday at 2 PM for a cup cake showdown!

Monday, May 27, 2019, is Memorial Day across the nation, not a day of celebration but a day of remembrance, reverence and thankfulness to the men and women who gave it all in the service of this country.

The 4th annual food fest is going down in Downtown Texarkana on June 1 from 10 AM until 8 PM. COME EAT GOOD!
