Texarkana Named ‘Nicest Place’ in Two States
Texarkana really is Twice as Nice! Texarkana won the 'Nicest Place' title for both Texas and Arkankana in a Reader's Digest contest.
A big Kuddos to David Orr for getting the ball rolling and nominated our city this past summer. After David nominated Texarkana it was time for all of us to start the online voting. In the nomination, he highlighted the fact that we may be two towns but we always come together. Our event Dine on the Line was featured in the article. In the “Nicest Places in America” contest, Reader’s Digest picked a town in every state.
The overall winner nationally for 2019 was Columbiana, Ohio. You can take a look at all the 50 states' nicest places here.
