Kevin Smith directing an episode of The Flash is a notable enough event that we’d expect the Askewniverse director to leave his personal stamp, and a new tweet suggests he might leave two. Jason Mewes has been observed on The Flash set, so might Jay and Silent Bob stand vacantly in a parking lot while Barry Allen whizzes by?

Smith himself shared yet another post from production of The Flash Season 2’s 21st episode, paired with Mewes outside of Jitters, in an apparent nod to the Jay and Silent Bob characters that have appeared across multiple franchises and formats. Smith stopped short of confirming the duo would have an onscreen appearance, but it certainly seems in line with the director’s style.

Went for some coffee at #ccjitters and found @jayandsilentbob loitering in front of the store. Yesterday was a productive Day 2 on the episode of #TheFlash that I’m “directing”, with the cast, crew & I shooting four different scenes in the Cortex and Medical Bay at #StarLabs! I call it “directing” because neither cast nor crew need my guidance here to make something great. We shot some big little scenes yesterday that will break your heart and speed-force it back together again in that way only #TheFlash can. I love this show, so seeing how it really happens behind the scenes has been nothing short of thrilling. We start Day 3 of 8 in a couple of hours… #KevinSmith #jaymewes #centralcity #vancouver #jayandsilentbob #runbarryrun #funbarryfun

The Clerks director also shared a few additional tweets in recent days.

We don’t yet know the title or content of the upcoming 21st episode, likely to air sometime in late April or early May, though we at lest know X-Men: First Class and Thor writer Zack Stentz helmed the script.

In the meantime, The Flash will return from its March hiatus with next week’s “Trajectory,” promos of which you can find below.
