Teens Identified in Texarkana Shooting, 1 Remains in Critical Condition

According to the TTPD, the two men in the shooting last night that died have been identified as Deangelo Handy and Rikolah Young, both 18 years old and of Texarkana, Texas. The other victim is 17 years old. He was originally brought to Wadley Regional Medical Center but has since been airlifted to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. He remains in critical condition.
The TTPD announced on their Facebook page more details from last night's shooting:
About 5:00 yesterday afternoon, we responded to the area after someone called 911 saying that he had just seen a man walking in the 1900 block of W. 13th Street who was bleeding from his mouth and nose. When the first officer got there, he found the 17-year-old victim laying in the yard in front of one of the apartments, suffering from gunshot wounds. Other officers then found Handy and Young inside the apartment. Both had been shot, and Handy was already deceased. Young was transported to Christus St. Michael Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Two men have died and one remains in critical condition this morning after a shooting took place last night, December 13, 2021.
Texarkana Texas Police reported last night that they were at the scene of a shooting at an apartment located in the 1900 block of West 13th Street. As officers arrived one man was dead at the scene while two other men were transported to the hospital for gunshot wounds. One of those two men then died at Christus St. Michael Hospital.

We’re on the scene of a shooting in the 1900 block of W. 13th Street. Three men were shot inside one of the apartments there, and one of them died at the scene. The other two have been transported to area hospitals in critical condition.
Detectives are out here working now trying to figure out what happened and identify whoever is responsible for this.
