Take Your Child To Work Day!

One of those "days" that has great intentions but most of us are rarely able to do, it's Take Your Child to Work Day!

Being a radio dude for more than a quarter century now, I have been able to participate in this day on more than one occasion, not usually on the actual day though. For instance today my youngest son has school, I will never take him out of school just so I can take him to work with me. That's asinine.  There are plenty of teacher in-service days throughout the school year in which he can come in with me and help around the studio a little bit. As you can tell by the picture, he loves to go on remotes with me. Go figure!

There are however, plenty of jobs where "bring your brat to work" day, just won't work; Ambulance Driver, Crane Operator, Teacher, Doctor, Deep Sea Diver, Bomb Squad just to name a few.

I worry that some parents might feel bad that they can't take their "oops to the office". Don't, some work environments are just not kid-friendly. The kid will just have to get over it, and so will the bleeding heart goofballs that come up with these "special" days.
