Arkansas Extends Resturant And Bar Curfew
As COVID numbers rise in Arkansas, state officials have extended the order for bars and restaurants to close at 11PM.
According to KATV in Little Rock
Last Thursday, December 31 the Arkansas Health Secretary Dr. Jose Romero extended the 11 p.m. closing time for bars and restaurants that serve alcohol for 30 days as the number of people hospitalized in the state due to coronavirus reached another record high.
Dr. Romero said he consulted with Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who deemed it necessary to extend the original 11 p.m. closing order in November. This order has now been extended to February 3, 2021. The previous order was supposed to expire yesterday Sunday, January 3.
Also on Thursday, the Arkansas Health Department released a new record high of people hospitalized with COVID at 1,195. You can check out the latest numbers at governor.arkansas.gov
