Did you happen to see a fireball falling from the night sky in Northeast Texas Sunday night?

The mysterious occurrence happened around 9 PM near Dallas as reported by CBS-DFW and was seen as far away as Arkansas, Missouri, and some parts of Louisiana.  According to reports, it was a meteor from the Perseid meteor showers that happen around this time of year late July going into August from the comet 109P/Swift-Tuttle.

Another large meteor was spotted over the southeastern skies of Norway according to the Norwegian Meteor Network. The bright flash of light continued its trajectory southwest before breaking up into smaller pieces.
