Fetty Wap’s Daughter Alaiya Undergoes Emergency Brain Surgery
Rapper Fetty Wap's 1-year-old daughter Alaiya needed surgery over the weekend.
The baby's mom, Love & Hip Hop star Alexis Skyy, begged her fans for their prayers on Sunday night (Jan. 27) after Alaiya had to undergo emergency brain surgery. Though she did not go into detail, TMZ reports Alaiya "needed the procedure to repair a malfunctioning implant in her brain that helps drain blood and fluids."
Skyy gave birth three months ahead of her expected due date causing Alaiya to be born prematurely. As a result, she developed a condition called hydrocephalus that causes bleeding and fluid in the brain. TMZ's sources revealed that Skyy noticed something wasn't right during a flight from Atlanta to New York when Alaiya was vomiting a lot, so she brought the baby to the hospital where they rushed into surgery.
“Prayers please for my baby. My best friend, my everything,” Skyy wrote on her Instagram Story followed by a positive update three hours later. “Surgery went well thank you GOD. Thank you everyone for your prayers. Lay Lay is good."
Skyy also posted a boomerang of her little girl recovering in the hospital:
Both Fetty Wap and Skyy are reportedly by the baby's side now. Our thoughts and prayers go out to little Alaiya.
