Free KN-95 Masks Available Soon – Here’s How To Get Yours
Let me start off by saying I'm not much of a mask guy. I will wear them where it's required but most of the time it's no mask for me. However, if you think wearing masks helps then more power to you, here's how you can get some of those good masks, the N-95 type, for free from the Feds.
Well, nothing is free, anything that comes from the Federal Government is paid for by those of us that pay taxes. That being said, these are "no charge" masks you can pick up at your local pharmacy or health center.
Apparently, the government has a stockpile of about 750 million of those N-95s in storage and is sending them out to partnered pharmacies and health centers as we speak. They should be showing up locally in the next few days according to reports.
The government says there will be three masks available per person. No mention was made about mask sizes, children's sizes, or exactly when they will be available. The latest from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that properly fitting N-95 or KN-95 masks offer the best protection against COVID.
Home tests are also being distributed soon, to find out how that program works, click here.
Where?
The free KN-95 Masks should be available at any CVS or Walgreens pharmacy, Albertsons, Walmart and Sam's Club, Super One, and Brookshire's pharmacies as well as our local Texarkana and surrounding area Health Departments. Click here for a complete list of CDC partnered pharmacies.
Good luck, stay healthy.
