Someone in Texas who really likes the number '4' has become a million-dollar Powerball winner.

Wednesday's Powerball Drawing

Nobody matched all 6 winning numbers (4-11-40-44-50, PB-4) in Wednesday's Powerball drawing, but three tickets did match all 5 non-Powerball numbers for a $1 million payout. Those winners were from New Hampshire, Oregon, and Texas.

None of the 3 winners opted for Powerplay for an extra buck, losing out on the chance to double their winnings.

Where Was the Winning Texas Ticket Purchased?

While most players choose the quick pick option, that was not the case for this winning ticket. It appears that this winner favors the number '4', which was profitable for them since half the numbers chosen included the digit '4'.

Since there was no top jackpot winner, the Powerball jackpot will now rise to $565 million for the next drawing on Saturday, August 16. The estimated lump sum payout is $258.8 million.

The Powerball jackpot was last won on June 1 when someone in California matched all 6 numbers for a jackpot worth $204 million.

Mega Millions Jackpot Nears $200 Million

The Mega Millions jackpot is now up to $198 million, with an estimated lump sum payout of $89.3 million. The next drawing is slated for Friday night.

The Mega Millions jackpot was last won on June 27, when a winning ticket worth $348 million was purchased in Burgess, Virginia. The winner opted for the one-time payout of $155.6 million.

When the player was asked what they plan to do with the winnings, they told officials that they plan to buy a zero-turn riding mower.

I think they may have some money left over for other purchases.
