New To The Area? Where's DeKalb?
If you haven't been to DeKalb, here's the perfect opportunity. It's about a 39-minute drive Northwest of Texarkana up Highway 82.
From 8 AM to 4 PM, vendors will line Runnels and Bowie Streets, offering crafts, food, drink, and more. At 10 AM, the much-anticipated parade will roll down Highway 82, leading into an afternoon jam-packed with entertainment.

After the parade, visitors can enjoy a classic car show at the DHS Gym, an art and quilt show in the Reed Building, and plenty of kid-friendly fun. Games will be set up in the Telford and Lindsey Buildings and beside the storm shelter, while inflatable sports activities will run at Bowie and Centre. Be sure you stop by the Williams House for beans and cornbread.
