It's almost officially a new year, and it's time to see which rappers are kicking off 2024 with the first batch of new music. With 2023 almost in the rearview, here are the first collection of projects that will be leading the charge for 2024.

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign Set to Drop New Joint Album Vultures

After three previous delays and plenty of controversial headlines, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign are set to come through on Jan. 12 with Vultures, the new joint album from the recently formed duo.

"Vultures," the LP's title track featuring Bump J, initially leaked online back in November. The song stirred up controversy due to lyrics that find Ye claiming that he isn't anti-Semitic because he's had sex with a Jewish woman. When the lead single officially dropped the next week, Lil Durk's verse that appeared on the initial leak was noticeably absent. It was reported that Alamo Records CEO Todd Moscowitz refused to clear Durkio's lyrics.

On Dec. 12, Kanye West hosted a rave in Miami as a celebratory listening event for the Ty Dolla $ign collab, which at one point, was due out later that week but never dropped. The party made headlines for the fact that Ye donned a black KKK-inspired hood similar to the ones seen in his music video for 2013's "Black Skinhead." His daughter North West was also spotted at the rave performing a rap verse that is believed to be featured on the new project.

Vultures is also slated to include the song "Everybody," which was previewed on Dec. 8 by Kanye West himself via social media. The track samples the hook from Backstreet Boys' 1997 platinum hit, "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)."
