Good Friday, Here are some stories making headlines today:

A memorial service is planned for 3pm this Friday afternoon for a former K-9 who passed away earlier this week at the age of 10.

Texarkana, Arkansas Police say K-9 Bruno started his career with the force back in October of 2003 and was there until he was retired due to medical issues in February of 2010. Bruno excelled in the area of narcotics detection and was responsible for numerous narcotics seizures. The service will be held at 3pm today in a special area of East Memorial Gardens near the front of the gardens that has been designated only for police K-9's.

Oil Prices tumbled to around $93 dollars a barrell today amid a stronger dollar and mixed signs about the U.S. economy. Prices have come down from $115 dollars a barrel back in early May.

Texas Governor Rick Perry will undergo minor back surgery on July 1st. A Perry spokesman says the Governor has a " back ailment" and that the surgery has been planned for several months. The procedure is not expected to change the governor's schedule.

In Sports:

The U.S. Open of Golf, the second official major tournament of the golfing season continues  thru Sunday at the Congressional Country Club just outside Washington D.C.  Tiger Woods is not in the field due to a leg injury which has yet to heal.
