The Month of June was just as hot as you thought it was. Dave Hall, the emergency managment coordinator for Texarkana, says the National Weather Service indicates that June was the second hottest month since records began being kept back in 1892. The Average temperature was 84.2 with the record being 84.6 back in 1953.

June was also the 11th driest on record  dating back to 1892. Only 3/4 of an inch of rain fell officially at the Texarkana Airport. That is 3.70 inches below normal for the month.
