Good Monday, Here are some stories making headlines today:

The Texarkana Arkansas City Board of Directors meets this evening at City Hall. The session begins at 6:45 pm with the City Employees Service Awards. The regular session starts at 7:00 p.m. The board will see a presentation by City Grant Writer Mark Shoptaw concerning the recent 1st Annual Railfest Event held in Downtown Texarkana.
The board will also conduct a public hearing concerning the condemnation of 14 substandard structures. The public is invited to attend tonights meeting.

The Hook Texas Independent School District is sponsoring the annual Summer Food Program this June. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:30 and lunch from 11:30 to 12:30 Monday Thru Thursday starting Monday June 13th.
The meals are FREE to all children ages 18 and younger and no registration is necessary. The program ends Wednesday June 29th.

In Sports:
The Pleasant Grove Boys High School Baseball team is headed to Austin to play in the Class 3A State Tournament. The Hawks will take on Robstown Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. in the state semi-final game. The winner of that contest will take on the winner of the other semi-final game featuring Kennedale and Robinson. The State Championship Game is slated for 5:30 Thursday in Austin.
