A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 1pm this afternoon in Texarkana, Arkansas. Ground wil be broken for a Hotel/Convention Center to be built in the Crossroads Business Park, just north of Interstate 30 and east of Highway 71 (Stateline Avenue).
Texarkana, Texas has already broken ground on their own Hotel/Convention Center that is being built just east of Central Mall on Cowhorn Creek Road. Construction is already underway on that venue.

The Miller County Health Department is conducting a free flu shot clinic today until 3:30pm at the Four States Fairgrounds. The shots are for people 6 months of age or older.

In Sports:
The Texas Rangers are one vict0ry away from their 1st ever World Series Title. The Rangers try and wrap it up in Game 6 tonight in St. Louis. Colby Lewis will be on the mound for the Rangers vs. Jamie Garcia for the Cardinals. If the Redbirds win , then a deciding 7 th game would be played tommorrow (Friday) night in Missouri.
