It’s no secret that Teyana Taylor idolizes Janet Jackson. So much so, that she was scheduled to meet Ms. Jackson at her State of the World Tour stop in Milwaukee on Sunday (Oct. 23). But alas, it didn’t happen.

Unfortunately, Taylor’s flight from Chicago to Milwaukee was canceled due to bad weather, causing her to miss the show. The “Fade” performer went on Instagram Live to share her grief with her fans.

In the video above, you can see a distraught Taylor walking in the airport upset that she couldn’t meet her beloved idol. “I’m so fucking over it,” she said. At one point, she paused the livestream so she could cry. “Y’all not going to catch me on the Shade Room crying,” she told her viewers when she returned.

Miraculously, Janet heard about Taylor’s dilemma and decided to Facetime her as a surprise. The "Control" singer shared the photo of her and Taylor chopping it up on the video call. You can see Taylor is all emotional during their chat.

"I meant what I said. You're so beautiful! Can't wait to meet you in person. Love and blessings - J," wrote Ms. Jackson on Twitter.
