We’re still not entirely certain how a TV iteration of Bong Joon-Ho’s Snowpiercer will roll on, but the cast is at least heating up. Not only will Hamilton alum Daveed Diggs lead the new series, Jennifer Connelly has now joined the Scott Derrickson-directed pilot.

Per TNT’s official confirmation, Connelly will take the role of Melanie Cavill, described as “a First Class passenger who works as the Voice of the Train – responsible for making the daily announcements over its PA system. Though many in her VIP position are dismissive of the lower class passengers, Melanie is curiously fascinated by them.”

Here’s how the new series is described:

Snowpiercer is a futuristic thriller set seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, and the remnants of humanity inhabit a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival are questioned in this riveting television adaptation.

Doctor Strange director Derrickson will also executive produce TNT’s new take on the 2013 South Korean sci-fi film from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles writer Josh Friedman. The hour-long pilot will see original director Joon-Ho and co-producer Dooho Choi executive producing alongside Lee Tae-hun, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, and feature producer Chan-wook Park.

The 2013 film starred the likes of Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Octavia Spencer, Jamie Bell, Ed Harris, John Hurt and Allison Pill. You can watch the original trailer below, and stay tuned for more on TNT’s Snowpiercer.
