Jordan Peele Joins ‘The Hunt’ For Nazis With New TV Series
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Peele will executive produce The Hunt alongside writer David Weil, though no network has officially snatched up the project. Interest reportedly escalated after the Neo-Nazi rally in Charlottesville, though The Hunt would follow a more historical Nazi path:
Inspired by true events, The Hunt follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters in 1970s America as they set out on a quest for revenge and justice — tracking and killing hundreds of Nazis who, with the unconscionable help of the U.S. government, escaped justice and embedded themselves in American society.
The Hunt stems from Peele’s first-look deal with Sonar Entertainment, who also produces. On the movies side, Peele is also working on KKK thriller Black Klansmen with Spike Lee, having left behind a chance to direct the live-action Akira.
Someone’s likely to make a full bid for The Hunt soon, so stay tuned for the latest on Peele’s TV return.
