‘The Jungle Book’ Grabs Your Attention With New TV Spot as Ticket Pre-Sale Begins
Tickets for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be available on February 29 (that’s tomorrow, FYI), with the movie hitting theaters about a month later, on March 25. Disney is banking on similarly huge business for Jon Favreau’s The Jungle Book, as the studio has officially launched ticket pre-sales as of today, even though the film doesn’t hit theaters for another two months. If that isn’t enough to get your attention, then maybe this new TV spot will.
Aptly titled “Attention,” the spot keeps the focus on Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi) and his panther pal Bagheera (Ben Kingsley), who wants to return his young friend to the world of humans where he “belongs” in order to protect him from the wrath of the villainous tiger Shere Khan (Idris Elba). Blending live-action and the latest in CG technology, Favreau’s film offers what appears to be a riveting take on Disney’s classic animated film and Rudyard Kipling’s original source material.
Tickets are available for pre-sale now at Fandango.
“The Jungle Book” is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo (voice of Bill Murray). Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don’t exactly have his best interests at heart, including Kaa (voice of Scarlett Johansson), a python whose seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie (voice of Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire.
