CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System is currently taking applications for the summer junior volunteer program, which will give young people an opportunity to explore careers in health care.

If you and your child are searching for a cool program where they can boost their confidence, learn new things, and have fun, then the Miller County 4-H has something just for you!

Maybe it was the great music? Maybe it was the awesome food? It could have been the great beverages, or seeing people you haven't seen in a while. Maybe, it's all of the above. The important part is Harvest Regional Food Bank's 2023 Taste of Texarkana event is once again a huge success, thanks to great vendors, volunteers, and you.

Harvest Regional Food Bank says it's time to pick some corn once again and is seeking volunteers for this week, to help harvest roughly two acres of it, donated by a local farmer in Little River County.

One of 33 volunteers was honored for service this week at CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System in Texarkana.

This is it, time is almost up and we still need about 200 more volunteers for the two shifts to pack food boxes this Saturday. This Saturday! Thank you to all who have volunteered so far, about 600 people, that is amazing, but we still need more to pack these food boxes and help feed hungry kids all over the world.

You gotta love Tacos4Life and its mission to feed hungry kids all over the planet. Their promise is for every taco, rice bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or salad you buy, you provide a meal to a child in need. Our Texarkana Tacos4Life is making plans to fulfill that promise with another MobilePack coming up Friday and Saturday, May 6 & 7, and they need our help to make it happen.

This Monday, June 26, you have an opportunity to put in a little hard work and help your neighbors at the same time. Harvest Texarkana is seeking volunteers to help pick corn to get some fresh veggies on folks tables.

CASA volunteers are caring adults who get to know children who have experienced abuse and/or neglect and are now going through the painful process of recovery. CASA’s provide the courts with objective information and recommendations to help ensure the child’s best interests are served.
