The Texarkana Arkansas School District has made a difficult decision to close its TASD schools temporarily beginning tomorrow January 11, through January 17, after reviewing recent COVID-19 and quarantine data and consultation with the Arkansas Department of Education and Department of Health.

Unless further instructed, all students must return on Tuesday, January 18. All students PreK through 12th grade will use Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) days which may include instructional paper packets or digital learning.

School officials understand the hardships this may cause for working families however after researching the latest COVID data they feel like this is the right approach to take at this time to ensure the safety and well-being of families, employees, and our community.

Updates on meal pickup and distribution information will be released soon. Please check their website or social media pages for further details.
