Texarkana Regional Airport to Get Some Money for Air Traffic Control Tower
The Texarkana Regional Airport is one of 14 municipal airports in Texas that will be getting some money from the Texas Transportation Commission for continued operation of air traffic control towers.Today's decision by the Commission will provide approximately $2 million dollars, split between 14 airports for 90 days.
Other airports helped include the Tyler Pounds Regional, Collin County Regional and the Dallas Executive. Municipal airports are facing the loss of federal money for air traffic control towers due to budget cuts enacted by the sequestration process.
