Jacob Copeland signing with Florida did not set well with his mom at all, as she abruptly dismissed herself from the National Signing Day ceremony once he revealed his choice for college. As millions in TV land, onlookers  family and friends watched seniors across the nation make what they believe to be their next best move for next level athletics and education, Copeland was left with an emotional divide when his mother who was wearing an Alabama hoodie and Tennessee hat awkwardly exited stage left just seconds after her son put on the Florida Gators cap on indicating his decision to be a Gator.

CHECK OUT THE CLIP BELOW OF MAMMA COPELAND'S REACTION:

Contrary to what some may believe, Mamma Copeland is not the first mother to express her disapproval on national television during her son's signing day. In 2012, Landon Collins' mom, April Justin, a New Orleans native, openly expressed her dislike when her son, the number one safety in the nation at that time chose Alabama over LSU.

WATCH THE 2012 CLIP BELOW OF APRIL JUSTIN'S RESPONSE TO HER SON'S SIGNING DAY ANNOUNCEMENT:

I watch these clips and as a mother of a son, myself, I can't imagine any decision my son could make on or off national television that would move me made leave his side on one of the most important days of his life. Behind the scenes may be a different story. :)However, to completely ruin "the big moment" is contrary to reason and defies my understanding.  It leaves one to wonder what made Copeland's mother so upset? One may speculate that she had accepted money from either Tennessee or Alabama in exchange for her son's signature.  April Justin made it crystal clear why she was so perturbed by her son's decision, but we're still trying to figure out Mamma Copeland's angle. Hmmmmm..... We may never know.
