Toni Braxton plays Antionette Tuff in Lifetime Movie [TRAILER]
The lovely Toni Braxton was accompanied by her boo thang, Birdman, at the Lifetime screening of her new movie, Faith Under Fire.The film is about the "Antoinette Tuff Story," the book keeper at Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy, a school in Decatur, Georgia. On the very morning she woke up considering suicide, she literally saved the lives of hundreds of students when who a 20-year-old gunman entered her school hell bent on taking innocent lives.
The role of Antionette Tuff is played by seven time Grammy Award Winner, Toni Braxton. Braxton plays the role of a struggling mother from Decatur, Georgia who became a hero when she found herself face-to-face with deranged gunman who stormed into her school threatening to kill everyone and convinced him to surrender.
Antoinette’s faith in God guided her through the toughest moments of her life, ultimately preparing her for that fateful day. The film also stars Yaya DaCosta (“Whitney”) as 911 operator Kendra McCray and Malik Yoba (“Empire”) as Sergeant Franklin. Antoinette Tuff’s son Derrick, who was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, is portrayed in the film by Shalaby Omar (“Doubt”), a young actor with Spina Bifida.
