Words of Wisdom

It’s so important to pay attention to what you lend YOUR ATTENTION to throughout the day.  Whatever you feed will flourish.. Just like what you look at longest becomes strongest.

A soror of mine once told me something that I use to govern many of my moves, my relationships and my decisions in general. She told me to follow peace.

Everybody won’t know your worth. They don’t know your value, and it’s not your job to convince them of it. However, it IS your job to know it for yourself!

Steve Harvey said something very key this morning in his final thoughts.  He said, "Joy and depression can't exist in the same place. I sat a second and thought about it.... The same holds true for light and darkness. They can't coexist. You either have light or darkness, but you can't have both.

You were not born to be mediocre. So stop waking up every morning settling for a mediocre life. What is it in you that keeps you from wanting to be your best?  Is it fear? Laziness?  Maybe you've subconsciously picked up a "mediocre mindset" from whomever you spend the majority of your time with...

Don't put more work in on your job than you put in on yourself. The work you do externally will get you through the door, but it's the work YOU DO ON YOU that will keep you there.

Today is Friday! It's Mother's Day weekend, and we’re keeping all negative vibes at bay. So, steer clear of negative folks

You can’t win the war against the world if you can’t win the war in your own mind. That’s where every significant battle you will ever fight is either won or lost.

Oprah said, “Where there is no struggle, there is no strength.” Praying for strength without expectation of resistance is like like praying for muscles with the expectation of never lifting a weight.

“A Woman in harmony with her spirit is like a river flowing. She goes where she will without pretense and arrives at her destination prepared to be herself and only herself.”

One of my favorite quotes is by Dr. Mae Jemison, the first African American female astronaut. She said, “Never be limited by other people's limited imaginations.”
