5 Fun Spring Events to Look Forward to in Texarkana

The temperatures are warming up and there are some great events scheduled for the Texarkana area that you need to remember and put on your calendar!

The Texarkana Parks and Recreation Department announced the dates for five big events that you are not going to want to miss.

1. Scout-A-Rama

April 27- April 30 It's Scout-A-Rama - If you are a scout then you know about the fun. This event is also a great opportunity for those wanting to learn more about the organization too! It will be held again this year at Spring Lake Park.

2. Twice As Fine Wine Festival

This event will take place on Saturday, May 6 at Spring Lake Park. Benefiting the Alzheimer's Alliance, you will have the opportunity to taste wines from wineries all across the state of Texas.

3. The Dragon Boat Race

This event gets bigger and bigger every year. The fun will be on May 13 at Bringle Lake.

4. Community Yard Sale

Rent a booth and sell your stuff and find great items too. This event will be at Spring Lake Park on May 20. Now is the time to start going through that spare room or the garage and see what you might want to sell. Registration begins April 4 at 9 AM. 5. Movies in The Park
