A Change in SAU’s Health Policies For 2022 Spring Semester
Classes for the Spring Semester at SAU start-up this Wednesday, January 12, and with the surge in Omnicron cases the university is changing things up a little.
In a press release, the university announced they had carefully evaluated the well-being of their students, faculty, and staff, and their Risk Management Task Force has decided to update their public health policies.
Mask up In Certain Areas of Campus
On Wednesday SAU will enforce a mask mandate for classrooms, shared offices, and when in transit within buildings.

They also stated that although face masks will be encouraged there will not be a mask mandate for the athletic venues during events.
SAU Is Providing Disposable Masks
Employees will be allowed to put signs up in their offices if they are requesting people to wear a mask in their personal areas. SAU will again this semester provide disposable masks for students, faculty, and staff.
Classes are planned to be in person but there is the option for students to have;
"alternative academic content delivery to students affected this spring by Covid-19 or other health conditions."
During the fall semester of 2021, the school had a very low number of Covid cases and no cases were spread through classroom teachings. They are hoping for the same this spring semester but are taking extra precautions as the Omnicorn variant is more contagious.
