Now this is a nice surprise. Just in time for Mother’s Day, Andre 3000 released two new songs in honor of his deceased parents.

The two new tracks “Me & My (To Bury Your Parents)” and “Look Ma No Hands” are heartfelt tributes to his mom and pop, which can be heard on his SoundCloud page.

On the reflective, piano-driven “Me&My (To Bury Your Parents)”, Three Stacks sings about his late mother, Sharon Benjamin Hodo, who died on May 28, 2013, a day before his 38th birthday, and his late father who passed away a year later. On “Look Ma No Hands,” Andre plays the bass clarinet with James Blake on piano for 17 minutes. It’s a beautiful and jazzy tribute to his beloved parents.

The is the first time in several years we have heard new material from one-half of the OutKast duo. Could a full-length solo album be in the works? Let's hope so.

In addition to the songs, it looks like Andre 3000 has also joined Instagram. As of right now, he has photos promoting his two new songs as well as a picture of him and his mother with the caption, “I love you mom."

Recently, Andre 3000 and Big Boi were spotted together attending the high school graduation of Big Boi's son Andre “Bamboo” Patton II.

Although there's no word on a new OutKast album, both artists have have been working on various projects separately. Big Boi released Boomiverse last year and recently signed with L.A. Reid's new music imprint HitCo. Meanwhile, Andre is in the sneaker business. He recently launched his spring collection of kicks for heritage shoe brand Tretorn.
