Barbie's dream house has reportedly found a new tenant — Anne Hathaway is set to star in a live-action feature based on the toy, a role that was originally meant to go to Amy Schumer.

According to The Hollywood ReporterHathaway will play the iconic doll as part of a production that Australian director Alethea Jones is rumored to direct. The movie will take some liberties with the Barbie universe, and will follow Hathaway's character as she suddenly awakes from a monotonous spell, only to realize she is much more complex and messy than the picture-perfect toys that surround her.

Schumer pulled out of the film in March, noting "I’m bummed, but look forward to seeing Barbie on the big screen." And while she ultimately blamed it on scheduling conflicts, she did address the fact that she had to contend with toxic body-shaming after news of her casting first broke in 2016.

"Anyone who has ever been bullied or felt bad about yourself I am out there fighting for you, for us. And I want you to fight for yourself too! We need to laugh at the haters and sympathize with them. They can scream as loud as they want. We can’t hear them because we are getting s— done. I am proud to lead by example. I say if I’m beautiful, I say if I’m strong. You will not determine my story. I will,” she said.
