2014 is sure to be a cross roads year for the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys lost their home opener this past Sunday to the San Francisco 49ers in ugly fashion. Dallas dominated the line of scrimmage during much of the game but were soundly beaten 28-17.

The reason sloppy play, way too many turnovers and penalties. Let's face it, the Cowboys have been playing mediocre football for quite awhile now. I can say this because I am a Cowboy fan going on almost 50 years.

Unless Dallas turns things around and makes the playoffs this year, it's my humble opinion that it will be the last for head coach Jason Garrett and likely the last year for Tony Romo (bad back and all). Now I have been a Romo supporter throughout the years and still like him. I believe he has not had enough time to shake the rust off from last year's back surgery. Hopefully his performance will improve as the weeks roll by.

Just one ugly loss does not make a season. However, Dallas will have to get in the win column quickly or this could get ugly. Some peoples jobs likely depend on it.
