I am a long-time Dallas Cowboys fan. I am not a football expert, don't pretend to be. But as a fan, I've seen enough.

Being born and raised in the Dallas area as I was simply means you're a Cowboy fan. There may be some who don't fit that description but they are few and far between, the others who hate them "Boys" are usually from out of state.

I like the head coach Jason Garrett, I think the team overall has some of the best players in the National Football League, but one of the areas where they have been consistently inconsistent is the quarterback position.

Tony Romo was a terrific back-up QB but ever since he was handed the reigns of the starting job it's been the yo yo ride from hell for the fans. Romo has flashes of absolute brilliance, there have been games where his performance was truly amazing, then the next week or the week after that, he's terrible.

There are always good reasons for his poor performance it seems, take last night's Monday Night Football game against Da' Bears, when he wasn't throwing interceptions the receiving corps wasn't catching what hit them in the chest. I know, you can't blame Romo for everything that goes wrong, but I think that's part of the problem, nobody it seems wants to lay "enough" blame on his shoulders. Eventually someone's going to have to.

I'm no coach, I certainly don't have any of the pressures of team ownership and the multi-million dollar salaries to consider when thinking what needs to be done. I'm just a fan, a fan who has finally lost all confidence that Tony Romo can get my Cowboys to the Super Bowl.

Could be worse I guess, could be a Detroit fan. (Shudder)
