bEASTX native JaMycal Hasty, now a rookie running back on 49ers is expected to make his NFL debut against the Giants this Sunday.

With Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman both out with knee sprains, it looks like Hasty's about to get a chance to showcase that 4.55 40-yard-dash speed AND reliable catch game.

NBC Sports reports that he shined through training camp both in the run game and as a receiver. So much so that on the field teammates called his route running “filthy.”

No doubt, it was Hasty's versatility at McClane Stadium that caught the eye of Coach Kyle Shananhan. The Baylor product racked up 386 carries for 1,998 yards and 15 touchdowns, and caught 79 passes for 485 yards and another score. He also had a 20.8-yard average on punt returns. Standing 5'8, 205 pounds, the shifty running back runs very decisively, says teammate Fred Warner.

Hasty, he was one of the guys that everybody was talking about during training camp because he’s got that twitch to him. His cuts are very decisive when he’s running the football. He’s not afraid to pass-block, all those things that go unnoticed, Warner said of Hasty.

In an article NBC Sports wrote:

During the 49ers' last open training camp practice at Levi's Stadium, Hasty took a handoff from C.J. Beathard. Once the rookie got to the second level, he juked a defensive back so effortlessly that the entire offensive sideline erupted, shouting and jumping up and down.

I've watched Jamycal Hasty play ball since he was a freshman at Longview High School. I know what he's capable of on foot and as a checkpoint down the field. No doubt in my mind he will hold his own this Sunday in New York. I'll be front and center of the tube lookin' Lobo proud! And in case you've forgotten what his game was like as a lobo, allow me to remind you. See video below.

The game between the San Fransisco 49ers and the New York Giants is set for this Sunday, September 27, 12:00 Central at Med-life Stadium.  It will air on Fox .
