UPDATE:

Facebook and its photo-sharing site Instagram announced an extended block to President Donald Trump's account that will remain "until the peaceful transition of power is complete."  Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s chief executive, said.

“We believe the risks of allowing the president to continue to use our service during this period are simply too great.”

According to the New York Times,  Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s chief executive, said in a post that the social network decided to cut off Mr. Trump because a rampage by pro-Trump supporters in the nation’s capital a day earlier, which was urged on by the president, showed that Mr. Trump “intends to use his remaining time in office to undermine the peaceful and lawful transition of power to his elected successor, Joe Biden.”

BELOW IS THE ORIGINAL STORY:

Today Twitter deleted three of President Donald Trump's tweets and suspended his account for 12 hours when he continued spewing his conspiracy theories about the election after an angry mob of Trump supporters bum rushed the capitol.

One of the videos was of Trump intentionally inciting mayhem as he repeatedly spoke of these unfounded claims that the election was taken from him. After violence had already broken out, he encouraged his followers to disperse and said he loved them. See video below.

Initially, Twitter only prohibited his tweets from being retweeted or "liked" to prevent provoking danger. Shortly later they removed the tag and Twitter said through one of its company accounts that if Trump removes the tweets, his account will be unlocked. This clearly isn't the first time his account has been temporarily locked.

Facebook and YouTube also removed the video from Trump's accounts. Due to policy violations, Facebook blocked the the president's account from posting for 24 hours.

YouTube said in a statement that the video violated

"policies regarding content that alleges widespread fraud or errors changed the outcome." Facebook said: "The violent protests in the Capitol today are a disgrace. We prohibit incitement and calls for violence on our platform. We are actively reviewing and removing any content that breaks these rules."
