Fore The Animals Golf Tournament to Benefit Texarkana Animal League

A golf tournament benefiting the Texarkana Animal League is set for Friday, April 27 at the Texarkana Golf Ranch. This tourney is a four-man scramble.

Lunch will be catered by Carino’s Italian and begins at 11:30 a.m. The shotgun start is at 1:00 p.m. Registration is $125 dollars for 18 holes of golf with cart. Golfers will also receive lunch, a t-shirt and snack-beverage carts will circulate the course during the tournament.

There are many great prizes to be won by golfers including a 17′ Glastron boat with a hole-in-one, provided by Shipp Motor Company. Additional hole-in-one prizes provided by Shipp Motor Company and Golf USA. Cash prizes will be awarded to first through third with first place winning $600. There are tons of raffle items too.

All proceeds will benefit animal care and adoptions and will assist community outreach programs such as Texarkana Animal League’s Low Income Spay/Neuter Assistance Program. In 2010, over 1500 shelter animals received vaccinations & medications from funds raised by the Texarkana Animal League. TAL continues to provide the same care to shelter animals year after year. TAL has spayed and neutered hundreds of animals in the community through their Low Income Spay/Neuter Assistance Program. Additionally, hundreds of animals have found homes through TAL’s Foster Care Program.
