It's been two weeks since we received the news of DMX's death. It stings the same today as it did then, and media outlets are still discussing the life and music of the 50-year-old rapper. My heart is sad for his family and friends. As a fan, however, my heart is sad for him. From childhood on into adult years, DMX was a tormented soul in search of peace and happiness. What he sought after, he often found in drugs. It was what he knew. He was addicted to crack cocaine by age 14 when someone from the industry that he looked upon to gave him a marajuana joint laced with crack.

He also had another outlet... another place he sought peace. And that was in his love for God. One thing about X... he was gonna speak about God and give all praises and honor to Him no matter who was around. A lot of people know and rap along to some of his most popular songs like, What They Really Want, Ruff Ryders Anthem, and Party Up. His true fans, however, know and love his Christian songs as well. During his lifetime, DMX released three christian songs (DMX style) and a prayer. Check them out below.

1. LORD GIVE ME A SIGN

2. JESUS LOVES ME

3. LORD WE THANK YOU

4. THEB PRAYER
