The hallways of Genoa Central Schools (8-12) are empty as the district is closed after cafeteria staff has to quarantine.

The school district announced earlier this week that students will virtual school until February 16.

Lordddd thank God I do not have any children in school during these times. However, if you do.... and they attend Genoa Central Schools, below are the accommodations put in place for students according to Four States News.

Chromebooks may be picked up Monday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition the high school students needing hotspot access can come to the high school office between 7:45 a.m. and 3 p.m.

As it stands, the district has not reported that any staff are positive. It sounds like a precautionary measure taken to keep the students, staff, and their families. As a parent who's son graduated last year, I'm feeling that was a very good call. Proactive has proven to be effective regarding COVID.
