South Arkansas University -  Magnolia, AR

In Bussey Hall, the ghost of a female student who hanged herself in one of the rooms in the 1950s is said to appear. And in the Horton Theater, the ghost of a student actress who was killed by a train on her way to her starring performance has been seen walking along the catwalk during some performances.

Cameo Trio Theatre - Magnolia, AR

Theater number 3 is reportedly haunted. No real information on how it's haunted. No real information on how it's haunted, but people say it's haunted. So, that should be good enough.

Avon Cemetery - DeQueen, AR

A ghostly baby and mother are said to haunt the cemetery. Local legend has it that if you drop a rock into the well in the center of the cemetery at night, you will hear the baby crying. The baby’s mother has been seen running through the cemetery. According to the local tales, long ago the woman sat the baby on the edge of the old well as she was drawing water, and the baby fell in and drowned.

Cavalier House - Jefferson, TX

This 1950s tavern building was eventually turned into a bed-and-breakfast inn. Witnesses at the inn say there have been residual hauntings from the tavern times. Folks have heard music, voices and footsteps. Reports say the building is either for sale or has been recently purchased.

Claiborne House Bed and Breakfast, Jefferson, Texas

The apparition of well-dressed man has appeared to both residents and guests. His identity is a mystery, but he is the subject of many ghostly local legends.

 

The Jefferson Hotel, Jefferson, Texas

Those who stay here should be warned: Room 19 is said to be haunted. A hotel employee reported hearing voices from the room when it was vacant, and guests staying there have claimed to feel they were being watched by an unseen presence.

The Excelsior House - Jefferson, Texas

This old hotel is said to be haunted by a headless ghost who roams the second floor. Another ghost lives here as well: a woman who wears black and carries a baby. It is said that the woman's apparition has frightened many guests, including film director Steven Spielberg.

Alley-McKay House Bed and Breakfast Inn - Jefferson, Texas

You may want to hang on to your drawers if you visit this pretty inn. The ghosts of two house slaves of long ago, Mr. Alfred and Patricia or Aunt Patty, are known for stealing folks' underwear.

The Grove - Jefferson, TX

Also known as the Stilley-Young House, The Grove is an 1861 house, reportedly very much a hotspot for paranormal activity, that has been featured on many TV shows and in many magazines over the years. Owners have described phantom odors, shadowy figures, moving objects, apparitions, and lights that turn on and off. The Grove changed hands many times over the decades until it was turned into a restaurant for several years in the 1990s, and is now a home to private owners
