Honoring The Black History Makers Of Texarkana

Happy New Year! We are kicking off the year by preparing for Black History Month, February 2021. We know that black history runs deep in Texas and Arkansas. The twin city  is filled with great African American leaders from the past, present, and future. I remember how excited I was to find out that Scott Joplin is from right here in TK. 

Texarkana is filled with a rich history of great African Americans. The list is endless. However, we want to know who you feel needs to be recognized in our communities during Black History Month.

We must recognize the merits of those in our local communities that help pave the way for Texas and Arkansas to become stronger. Also, to bring even more awareness to those dedicated to shaping the future in Texarkana Townsquare Media wants you to join us to honor the Black History Makers of Texarkana during February for Black History Month 2021.
