Get Free Eclipse Glasses With New Eclipse Drink in Arkansas
The 2024 Total Solar Eclipse is just days away (April 8) and the Arkansas fast-food chain Sonic is celebrating with a unique new drink and giving away a pair of free eclipse glasses.
Blackout Slush Float
Sonic America's Drive-in has launched the new Blackout Slush Float which is now available for a limited time for just $3.99 at participating Arkansas locations. The mix of flavors is out of this world think dragon fruit and cotton candy with a vanilla soft serve ice cream topping with blue and purple Galaxy sprinkles and you will be soaring into the darkness of space.
With that all being said, I decided I would take a trip to Sonic for lunch and try one out. I'm glad I did if there were one word to describe the Blackout Slush Float it would have to be "Awesome!" The dragon fruit and cotton candy meshed well together with the vanilla ice cream for an incredible taste.
Free Eclipse Glasses
With every purchase of the Blackout Slush Float, Sonic will be handing out a pair of Solar Eclipse Glasses. So, if you're looking for solar eclipse glasses here's a way to score some for free with the Blackout Slush Float. All glasses have been tested, and certified and are safe to use according to the International Organization for Standardization.
Great news! If they happen to run out of glasses the Blackout Slush Float will still be available until May 5, 2024, long after the solar eclipse has come and gone.
How about Texas?
Yes, get the Blackout Slush Float at participating Sonic locations in Texas while supplies last. There are more than 400 Sonic locations within the path of the eclipse's totality where customers can enjoy the slush and view the eclipse.
