Big news for festival fans, Gretchen Wilson is coming to Arkansas and is set to headline the 50th Annual Hope Watermelon Festival Concert on Saturday, August 8.

Get ready for Gretchen Wilson to bring her energetic 'Redneck Woman' self to the stage for a great night of music.  Gretchen has won numerous awards from CMAs, ACMs, AMAs, Grammys and more.

Most recently, she was the winner of 'The Masked Singer' Season 13. She was also on the new music competition show 'The Road' on CBS, featuring Keith Urban and Blake Shelton.

Christy Burns, Executive Director of the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce, said in a press release,

Celebrating 50 Years of a Sweet Tradition in Hope, Arkansas

The Hope Watermelon Festival will celebrate its 50th anniversary from Thursday, August 6 in Hope, Arkansas all leading up to Grethen Wilson taking the stage on Saturday night, August 8.

There will be great food, live music, arts and crafts and watermelon activities. From the Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest, to the Watermelon Olympics, Watermelon Eating Contest, and of course lots of delicious Hope Watermelons!.

The Hope Watermelon Festival was inducted into the Arkansas Food Hall for Food Themed Event in 2019. Each year, the festival is hosted by the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce.
