Highly Acclaimed Late Show TV Icon Jay Leno Coming to Texarkana

The 100th Anniversary of the Perot Theatre is proud to announce that highly acclaimed TV late-night show icon, Jay Leno coming to Texarkana.

Jay Leno began hosting The Tonight Show on NBC from 1992 - 2009 after taking over from Johnny Carson, after his late-night stint he hosted a primetime talk show, The Jay Leno Show. Jay returned as host of The Tonight Show in 2010 until 2014, when he was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame that same year.

One of Jay Leno's passions is cars he not only became a car collector but also a mechanic which allowed him to get into car building and become a philanthropist which led to the show Jay Leno's Garage from 2021 - 2023. In his spare time, he enjoys working on his collection of classic cars and motorcycles. He also became the first person to drive the pace car of all major NASCAR events.

In addition, Leno has won numerous awards throughout his career including receiving the Patriot Award given by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society. He is a best-selling children’s book author a TV movie actor, a voice-over artist, and a guest speaker for many corporate events. Jay Leno resides in Los Angeles with wife Mavis.

Fall Car Show

Jay Leno is scheduled for one show only at the Perot Theatre on Saturday, October 26, 2024, this event is tied in with the Four States Auto Museum Fall Car Show on Friday and Saturday, October 25-26, 2024. I have a feeling Jay is going to love this!

Purpose of the Event

The primary purpose of this event is a charity benefit for the 100th Anniversary of the Perot Theatre as it begins its fundraising efforts for renovations of the historic theatre. Once completed, these renovations will include a new grid and rigging system on the stage, new sound and lighting systems, remodeled, expanded restroom facilities, and much more.  Renovation efforts began with the critical set aside of three million dollars by the City of Texarkana, Texas towards the fundraising and renovation goals.
