Kanye West opens up about his mental health in his first sit-down interview since dropping his great album Ye last Friday (June 1).

In his 10-minute chat with radio personality Big Boy, Yeezy talks candidly about his “mental condition.” Although he doesn’t specifically name is exact condition, he does explain how its affects his art and his erratic behavior, which may explain his bizarre TMZ Live interview where he said that “slavery was a choice.”

"I'm so blessed and so privileged because think about people that have mental issues that are not Kanye West, that can't go and make that [album] and make you feel like it's all good," he explains about his "mental condition."

"Think about someone who does exactly what I did at TMZ and they just do that at work, right?” he adds, referencing the TMZ Live debacle. “But then Tuesday morning, they come in, and they lost their job...and they can’t go back and make that."

"That’s why god put that on me at age 40," he continues. "I had never been diagnosed until, like, 39 years old. "I think everybody’s got something. I think everybody got something, but like I said, on the album, I said, that it’s not a disability, that it’s a superpower.”

On Ye, particularly on the first song "I Thought About Killing You," West reveals that he's bipolar and his lyrics often references that throughout the album.
