Local Man Accused of Hiding Drugs in His PantsJohn WilliamsJohn WilliamsPublished: April 12, 2018BCSOShare on FacebookShare on TwitterA local man is behind bars after allegedly concealing methamphetamine in his pants.According to the Bowie County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Shawn Martin conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation in the 5100 Block of Mall Drive (Texarkana).Upon speaking with the three occupants, Martin noticed that the rear passenger was exceptionally nervous. He was identified as 26 year old Jonathan Lee Allen. All three occupants were searched but Allen exhibited an even higher level of concern. Allen was behaving in a manner that led the deputy to believe he was concealing something inside of his clothing.As Martin attempted to thoroughly check his clothing, Allen became combative. He was restrained and found to have concealed approximately 28 grams of alleged methamphetamine in his pants.Allen was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance Over 4 grams and Under 200 grams. He was also charged with Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transport. He has been booked into the Bi State Jail.
